Finnegans Wake, Key West, FL

I’m here in Key West, FL, just a few blocks from Finnegans Wake, the Key West Irish pub. I hope to have a photo for you all by the time I make it home. If anyone would like to sponsor a pint for me, you may donate via Paypal at the email address [email protected].
I’m the one still active on the Wiki. Ir really would like to communicate with you about its future. Good luck in Key West.
Perhaps you know the large line by line collection of notes called
Fweet. I belong to a mailing list called FWRead and we have been discussing a proposal I made there for an Addendum to Fweet which would not be personally edited and restricted as all previous collections of Finnegans Wake notes have been, including Fweet (Raphael is very personal in his choice of notes to accept). I proposed a Wiki which for each page would link to Raphael’s notes for each page, and would then be open for line by line notes from other contributors. It would also require a section where contributors would write evidence (using their own criteria) for the note(s) they are posting. Such “justifications” would be required for each posting, in order not to just put up free associations, or personal inspirations.
Also the notes page would have a space for “topics” where contributors could place links to Wikipedia, bios, or other brief background information they though was necessary to understand their notes and their relevance.
I proposed this to the group, and their were two responses about
Wikis

Are people aware http://www.finnegansweb.com/ already exists?
Apologies if I’ve got the wrong end of the proverbial!

Very good idea. Perhaps it could be done using a service like wikidot.com, which may have a low cost option? As in free.
Plus, as a wiki editing could be open and those monitoring might just enter cautionary notes and requests for clarification on problem pages
I have no idea what you see your wiki doing, or if it would be adaptable to such a scheme. Does it have open editing possibilities?
Is it something you would have any interest in this Wiki becoming?
I bring it up only because you already exist and were suggested.
If not we can of course create a new wiki, which not be a bad idea, except none of us seem to have any Wiki experience.

Sorry I’m just now catching this. Wow, I’ve been away a while. Apologies if you’ve moved on from your question, I realize that time changes everything. I originally envisioned this wiki being completely open, however, a few bad apples forced my hand. Nothing worse than wiki spam. Very difficult to keep things tidy, especially on such a large wiki as this one. But all registered members can edit. And when I’m paying attention, I’m pretty liberal with approving new users. I’ll try to pay better attention. Your group is welcome here. The more comments/talk, the better.
