  • The Lily of Lucca: nickname of Gemma Galgani (1878 - 1904), born near Lucca, Italy. She was a Catholic mystic beatified in 1933 and elevated to sainthood in 1940. She was a bearer of stigmata and had visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
