- Prodromaith: Greek prodromos--forerunner + Greek arithmosp--number. Those that were before numbers. Essentially, this passage at the beginning of the chapter seems to be a sort of genaology, even going back to a time before numbers.
- Also to a time before the biblical book of Numbers. This possibly refers to Genesis, but also includes Exodus and other books referred to throughout FW. Also, the book of Numbers in the Bible is a book of names, more or less--a geneaology. That this geneaology and story of a name(in FW) should predate another geneaology and book of names is a bit of paradox fitting in FW.
