"...lion, the white, the wardrobe..."

  • Although it was not published until 1950, this is interestingly close to being the title of C.S.Lewis' most popular work of fiction, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. The story borrows many elements from christian, roman and greek mythology. Lewis reportedly based his depiction of Narnia in the novels on the geography and scenery of the Mourne Mountains in County Down, Northern Ireland.
