  • Halley's Comet - a famous comet which returns to it's perihelion, where it is visible from Earth, every 76 years; as sure as "sixes and seventies".
  • Appeared in 1910 (in James Joyce's time) when it was first photographed
  • Believed to be present in 12 B.C. and may have been the source for the biblical Star of Bethlehem.
