  • Eolith - the name given to certain flints of rock which were thought to have been early man-made stone tools but are now considered to be created by natural geological processes.
  • Litho- - greek prefix meaning "made from Rock"
  • Stratum - a layer of rock or soil that has distinguished characteristics from contiguious layers. See wikipedia for Stratum
