Thermites

• termites: we were tiny comapred to the falling giant
• thermite: reaction in which aluminium metal is oxidized by the oxide of another metal, most commonly iron oxide. The name thermite is also used to refer to a mixture of two such chemicals.

• therm: a unit of heat energy. It is approximately the energy equivalent of burning 100 cubic feet of natural gas at standard temperature and pressure.
