  • Mrs Patrick Campbell: (1865 – 1940), an English stage actress. In her seond marriage, she became the second wife of George Cornwallis-West, a dashing writer and soldier. Among other roles she played Hedda Gabler. Eliza Doolittle in Shaw's Pygmalion and the second Mrd. Tanqueray in Pinero's drama of the same name.
  • Jenny Jerome Churchill: (1854 – 1921) the AMerican-born mother of Winston Churchill, in her seond marriage she married George Cornwallis-West,, who was teh same age as her son Winston. She later divorced him and remarried.
  • Lady Patsy Cornwallis-West: (1858-1920) prominent socialite, mother of George, and mistress of Edward, prince of Wles, later Edward VII.
