  • Golden One: A name used by the ancient Egyptians for Hathor, who was the goddess of women, love and the dead, perhaps indicative of ALP's role as "water of life" and the symbol of the wake and "uisce beatha" (whiskey, water of life) in the song "Finnegan's Wake" as used in the book.
