  • Yggdrasil: in Norse mythology, an immense ash tree that is central in Norse cosmology, a tree associated with both the Norse gods and their enemies.
  • Mann (Geman): man, One of Odin's names is Ygg, and in the Old Norse poem Hávamál, Odin describes how he once sacrificed himself to himself by hanging on a tree, generally believed to be Yggdrasil. Christian interpretations liken this event to Christ's suffering on the cross.
