- John Kells Ingram: (1823 – 1907) an Irish economist, patriot, and poet, co-founder of the National Library of Ireland. His most famous work is "The Memory of the Dead", in honour of the Irish Rebellion of 1798. It begins "Who fears to speak of ' 98? / Who blushes at the name?"
