Jump to navigationJump to search- Ossian: the narrator and purported author of a cycle of epic poems published in the 1760's and fraudulently passed off as translation of medieval Gaelic texts. The work was internationally popular and was influential in the development of the Romantic movement. Ossian is identified with Oisín, son of Finn McCool.
