- Publius Manlius (Latin): Public man. The name of two important figures in Roman history:
- Publius Manlius Capitolinus, Roman dictator in 368 B.C.
- Publius Manlius Vulso, praetor of Sardinia during the Second Punic War (210 B.C.)
- T. Manlius Torquatus: Three times Consul of the Roman Republic; namesake of the phrase "Manlian discipline," because he instituted military discipline so rigorous that he ordered the execution of his own son for leaving his post
