kvarter: Norwegian for "quarter"

Connected somehow to "triboos" a few words later (tri = three, kvart = four)

Applied to the sky, it may refer to the four astronomical quadrants (horizon bisected by meridian); these define late morning, afternoon, evening, and early morning, depending on where the sun is.

Or it may imply the "four winds" or four points on a compass.
