  • Adar: the 6th month of the Jewish religious calendar and the 12th month of the Jewish civil calendar; it corresponds roughly to February-March in the Gregorian calendar; it is also the month that is doubled (Adar I and Adar II) during leap years → rains begin in Adar
  • soubadar: (Anglo-Indian) a local commandant or chief officer → HCE
