  • Sitric Silkenbeard: King of Dublin (989-1036) during the Battle of Clontarf (1014), who issued silver coins with his face on them → the Viking king of Dublin Sigtryg Gale fathered Olaf, whom the Irish nicknamed Amlaíb Cúarán ("Olaf of the Sandals"), and who has sometimes been identified as the historical figure on whom Hamlet is based; the son of Olaf Cúarán was Sigtrygg Silkbeard Olafsson, the most famous Norse king of Dublin → see FW 532
