- Omen: Octavius, who went on to become Augustus Caesar, the first Emperor of Rome
- Onus: Lapidus, who was a weak figurehead member of the triumvirate
- Obit: Mark Antony, who ultimately rebelled against Octavius, was defeated, and committed suicide
- Religions are founded upon a sacralization (ordination) of omen: interpreting the will of the gods, fate or destiny; onus: fault, guilt, responsibility; and obit: death.
