- Analects: the collection of sayings and ideas attributed to the Chinese philosopher Confucius and his contemporaries. The book was compiled somewhere around 200 BC.
- Hop-o'-My-Thumb: also known as "Little Thumbling" (French: Le Petit Poucet)? A fairy tale by Charles Perrault in Histoires ou contes du temps passé, published in 1697. In the story, Hop-o'-My-Thumb, the pygny0sized seventh of seven brothers, saves his family from giants and other threats though sheer cleverness.
