Gnosis is Greek for 'knowledge'.

'Gnosible' is also nosible (nose) so adds smell to the other 3 senses: hearing, seeing and tasting. (Remembering that this is an "eye, ear, nose and throat witness")

  • Gnosis: the Gnostics promoted the idea that a direct, personal experience (gnosis) of the Divine is better than just receiving an education about the Divine. They also believed this world is a sham, a joke of a universe created by the demiurge and administered by archons (mean-spirited demon "bureaucrats") in contradiction to the Will of the High God. Man's purpose in this view is to escape the machinations of the archons and rejoin the High God in Heaven.
