  • Cadwaladr ap Cadwallon: son of Cadwallon, King of Gwynedd (reigned c. 655 – 682). Two devastating plagues happened during his reign, with himself a victim of the second one. Cadwaladr is most widely recognised as a prominent character in the romantic stories of Geoffrey of Monmouth, where he is portrayed as the last in a line of legendary kings of Britain.
