Jump to navigationJump to search- deodar cedar: a species of cedar tree with origins in central Asia. The term deodar comes from the Sanskrit devadāru, which means "wood of the gods". The tree has a major place in Hindu legend.
- "Under the deodar": a song from the popular musical A Country Girl, which opened in 1902 in London The play is set partially in India. That song was written by English songwriter Pail Rubens.
