  • Via Flaminia: The Flaminian Way, a road leading North from Rome tp Rimini on the Adriatic Sea
  • Gaius Flaminius Nepos: a politician and consul of the Roman Republic in the 3rd century BC. In the aftermath of the First Punic War, he was the leader of a reform movement which sought to reorganize state land in Italy. he raised an army to fight Hannibal's Carthaginian force in Italy, but was ambushed at Lake Trasimene. The army was destroyed and Flaminius was killed in 217 B.C.
