Commentary

HCE is pictured as a pirate, Viking invader, Phoenecian traveller and the Egyptian sky diety Ra (the eye, interestingly enough, is the symbol of Ra, representing The Sun. He was also associated with the Phoenix, as he rose again each night in flames).
