Jump to navigationJump to search- Nicholas of Cusa - (1401-1464) A cardinal of the Catholic Church, philosopher, mathematician, and astronomer. Developing concepts of relative motion, he suggested that the Earth was a sphere which revolved around the sun, fifty years before Copernicus. Cusa was the first to use concave lenses to correct myopia.
- de Cusack: a Irish family name of Norman origin, whose seta was at Kileen Castle, County Meath.
