Jump to navigationJump to search- Old Patrick (Also called Sen-Patrick or Patrick Senior): Figure mentioned in The Annals of the Four Masters as a separate person from Saint Patrick, though a near contemporary (the Annals record his death in 457 AD, the same year that Saint Patrick founded Armagh). Other early sources describe him as a close associate of his namesake; his tutor, or "the head of his wise seniors." However, nothing else is known of this other Patrick, and some modern historians speculate that he was invented to account for discrepancies in the existing biographical information of Saint Patrick.
