- Peace of Wedmore: Hypothetical document of an agreement in 878 A.D. between King Alfred the Great of the Anglo-Saxons and Guthrum, King of the Danish Vikings in England. The agreement established the boundaries of the kings' respective territories in England, and Guthrum converted to Christianity with Alfred as his godfather.
