- rock grass → in FW the twin sons Shem and Shaun are identified with stem and stone, hence rocking grasses contains an allusion to Shaun and Shem respectively → cf. stone pine → one of the most prominent aspects of the combined Shem-Shaun character is Tristan, i.e. tree-stone
