- Son rounders: the the Egyptian Book of the Dead, the sun comes back under the earth to rise in the east, a return from death. "Son rounders" are those souls who have made the journey with the son and are about to return to the living.
- This is about the halfway point of the book, halfway point of the night, and the son is rounding the earth now moving towards dawn again.
