I have also seen "Batto" or "Bato" cited as the name of a builder deity (in the Egyptian mythos?) in another commentary on FW* (which would obviously mirror Finnegan). Unfortunately, I am unable to locate where I read this insight. If anyone can track it down and it seems valid, feel free to add it in.

• UPDATE: Tantalisingly, "bata" is Egyptian for "work" (derived from "ba", meaning "man" or "soul") and there was indeed a minor goddess called "Bata" or "Bat" (http://www.answers.com/topic/bata-goddess), but neither seem close enough to be solid evidence for this possibility.
