Joyce's first draft of this sentence was as follows:
And to say that we are all every tim mick & larry of us, sons of the sod, when we are not every sue, ciss & sally of us, dugters of Jor
The final word (Jor) may be incomplete; he may have meant Jordan (a river). Or Hayman may have misread Jor for Jan. On the James Joyce Digital Archive, Rose & O'Hanlon give Jan as the original.
